Stroll will trade one world champion teammate for another in 2023 as he welcomes Fernando Alonso to Aston Martin. Stroll spoke positively about his relationship with Sebastian Vettel, and also indicated his excitement to pair with Alonso, hoping the latter will push him even further. The coming year will be Stroll's seventh in the series, but he has yet to crack the top 10 in the championship. He scored three podiums in those first seven seasons but none since 2020.
