DiNucci was signed to the Broncos' practice squad Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
DiNucci will join Denver's practice unit ahead of the AFC Championship Game against the Patriots. 2020
DiNucci was signed by the Bills in August to provide the team with QB depth behind top options Josh Allen and Mitch Trubisky. The 2020 seventh-rounder hasn't logged a regular-season snap since his rookie campaign.
Dak Prescott's injury allowed DiNucci to make his NFL debut last year, but the seventh-round rookie unsurprisingly looked overmatched. He'll battle Garrett Gilbert for the No. 2 spot on the depth chart, but DiNucci likely needs at least one more year of development before he can be trusted under center.
A seventh-round pick in 2020 out of FCS James Madison, DiNucci has the arm strength and mobility to someday be an NFL-caliber quarterback, but he'll need a lot of development time to get there. For now, he'll hold a clipboard or work with the practice squad in Dallas while Dak Prescott and Andy Dalton handle gameday snaps.

QBFree Agent
January 18, 2026
DiNucci is signing with Denver's practice squad ahead of the AFC Championship Game, Zachary Pereles of CBSSports.com reports.
ANALYSIS
DiNucci will likely work as the emergency third quarterback for the Broncos in the AFC Championship Game against the Patriots, with Jarrett Stidham set to start and Sam Ehlinger expected to be the backup. Denver's quarterback depth chart got an unexpected shake-up when starter Bo Nix was ruled out for the remainder of the postseason due to an ankle injury suffered late in the 33-30 overtime victory over the Bills in the AFC divisional round.
