He landed on injured reserve in mid-November due to a hamstring injury but suffered back and neck injuries while attempting to return from IR. Neal has appeared in only 29 regular-season games (27 starts) since being selected by the Giants with the No. 7 pick of the 2022 NFL Draft. While no deal materialized, it's somewhat surprising that there's been interest at all in the 2022 seventh overall pick, who has yet to play a game this season for New York after being converted from tackle to guard. Neal will be a free agent in the offseason, but a team like the Raiders might be willing to give him some playing time and potentially get a jump on signing him if a fresh start can reawaken some of the talent he showed in college at Alabama.
