2025 Fantasy Outlook
Mevis, a 2024 UDFA out of Missouri, is competing with 40-year-old Nick Folk for the placekicker job in New York. Folk's strong track record in the latter part of his career makes him a clear favorite to win the job. Read Past Outlooks
Elevated from PS, kicking Week 10
The Rams elevated Mevis from the practice squad to the active roster Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Mevis signed with the Rams' practice squad Wednesday, and he will replace Joshua Karty as the starting kicker against the 49ers on Sunday, per Adam Schefter of ESPN. Mevis has not attempted a field goal or PAT in a regular-season game since joining the league in May of 2024 as an undrafted free agent. However, he should have fantasy value for a Rams team whose offense averages 369.9 yards and 26.1 points per game, which are ranked seventh and eighth best, respectively, in the NFL this season.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Team adds veteran competition
Mevis' chances of kicking for the Jets in the 2025 regular season have declined, as Zack Rosenblatt of The Athletic reports that Nick Folk signed with the team Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Folk has 242 games of regular-season NFL experience under his belt and led all qualified kickers in field-goal percentage each of the past two seasons, making 50 of 52 attempts for the Titans in that span. He's also the only active NFL player to suit up for a playoff game as a member of the Jets, having participated in the team's 2010 playoff run. Mevis hasn't kicked in an NFL game and is thus the clear underdog in the training camp competition against Folk, who is replacing Caden Davis on the team's training camp roster.
