2025 Fantasy Outlook
Agnew broke his leg late in the 2023 season and spent the second half of 2024 on the Steelers' practice squad but never appeared in a game. The speedster hasn't had a return TD since 2021 but has six in his career. He's played sparingly at WR - 61 catches on 90 targets for 641 yards and five TDs over three seasons in Jacksonville. Agnew had seven rushes for 111 yards and a TD in 2021, but his rushing production has dipped in each year since. He'll compete with incumbent KhaDarel Hodge for a depth spot. Read Past Outlooks

Optimistic after injury

Groin
September 8, 2025
Agnew said Monday that he "feels good" after injuring his groin in the third quarter of Sunday's 23-20 loss to the Buccaneers, Terrin Waack of the Falcons' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Agnew played six snaps on special teams Sunday and finished with 57 kickoff-return yards and 29 punt-return yards. He's not in immediate danger of missing the Falcons' Week 2 game against the Vikings, but his practice participation over the coming week will be worth monitoring. Ray-Ray McCloud, Mike Hughes and Natrone Brooks would be candidates to handle return duties if Agnew is not cleared to play.

2020
Agnew once again operated as Jacksonville's primary return man in 2022 and averaged 26.0 yards per kick return and 8.2 yards on punts. He also had a minor offensive role, totaling 23 receptions for 187 yards and three touchdowns to go along with 12 carries for 86 yards. Agnew worked as a gadget player and didn't play more than 17 offensive snaps in any one contest. He's entering the final year of his contract and is likely to fill a similar role in 2023.
Agnew was in the midst of a career year in 2021 with 229 receiving yards, 111 rushing yards and three total touchdowns in 10 games before going down with a hip injury. He's back for 2022 but is likely to see most of his playing time on special teams with Jacksonville signing Christian Kirk and Zay Jones in free agency. The return man could still see some action on offense as a gadget players, but as long as the two newcomers and Marvin Jones remain healthy, Agnew shouldn't be expected to be a significant factor offensively.
Agnew joined Jacksonville on a three-year deal in the spring and figures to operate as the top return man and a depth wideout. The 26-year-old caught 13 passes for 89 yards in 14 games last season, though he averaged 28.0 yards on 71 kick returns and 12.7 yards on 14 punt returns.
Agnew burst onto the scene in 2017 as a rookie who ultimately earned first-team All-Pro honors for his work as a punt returner. However, the San Diego product failed to carve out a role as a cornerback despite having plenty of opportunities to do so, and Detroit has accordingly moved him to wide receiver this offseason in an attempt to get more out of him. While there's no guarantee that he'll earn significant playing time at that position, either -- Kenny Golladay, Marvin Jones and Danny Amendola have the three starting roles locked up -- Agnew's excellence on special teams should at least make him a lock for the final roster.

Makes 53-man squad per Kendall
WRAtlanta Falcons
August 23, 2025
Josh Kendall of The Athletic projects that Agnew will be the sixth and final receiver to make the Falcons' 53-man roster.
ANALYSIS
The Falcons are dealing with multiple injuries to their wideout room including Agnew, whose oblique injury has prevented him from playing in any of Atlanta's three preseason games. Despite the missed time, Kendall gives Agnew the edge over David Sills and Dylan Drummond for Agnew's return abilities on punts and kickoffs. The Falcons signed Agnew to a one-year, $2.5 million contract in March in the hopes that he would return to the form that earned him an invitation to the Pro Bowl in 2023 as a punt and kick returner for the Jaguars.
