2026 Fantasy Outlook
Gotterup got off to a slow start in 2025 as he missed the cut in 8 of his first 12 starts. He started to find his groove as the season went on racking up eight top-30s over his next nine starts. Then the true breakout happened. Gotterup stared down Rory McIlroy in the final group on Sunday at the Scottish Open and picked up his second PGA Tour victory. He rode that momentum into The Open Championship next week and finished solo third. After a T10 the following week at the 3M Open, there was a lot of talk about putting Gotterup on the Ryder Cup team. The FedExCup playoffs were mostly a disappointment, however, and Gotterup would get passed up on by U.S. Captain Keegan Bradley. Nevertheless, Gotterup's play over the second half of the 2025 season leaves plenty of reason for optimism going into 2026. He was arguably the best driver on the PGA Tour over that time, and also saw huge strides in his iron play, short game and putting. If Gotterup is able to put it all together for a full season, the potential is certainly there for him to one day become a top player on Tour. Read Past Outlooks
Wins season opener at Sony Open
Gotterup fired a six-under 64 in the final round to win the Sony Open in Hawaii by two strokes over Ryan Gerard.
ANALYSIS
Gotterup looked cool, calm and collected all day. He pulled off some tremendous shots and just kept making putt after putt. Ryan Gerard tried to make a later run at him, but Gotterup pretty much sealed the deal with a birdie at the tricky par-3 17th hole. This was the third straight season in which Gotterup has scored a victory on the PGA Tour. He led the field in SG: Off-the-Tee for the week at Waialae, and that tremendous driving with the combination of touch on and around the greens is why he can be a star in this game in the near future. Gotterup is not in the field for The American Express next week.

2024
It didn't take Gotterup long to pick up his first PGA Tour win, as he took down the alternate event Myrtle Beach Classic in May in his rookie campaign. That was one of the few bright spots for the 2022 Haskins Award winner, as the win was his only top-10, and he only had four top-25s all year. He's one of the longest hitters on Tour (fifth in driving distance), but he's also incredibily sporadic off the tee and was only 163rd in SG: Approach. Unless he cleans up those areas significantly, he's likely to continue to be inconsistent, but his length advantage is massive and should occasionally get him into contention on his spike putting weeks.
