Leads in SG: Approach in Jackson
October 5, 2025
Redman fired a five-under 67 on Sunday at the Sanderson Farms Championship to finish in a share of ninth place.
ANALYSIS
Redman was in danger of missing the weekend after an opening 75 but followed it up with a seven-under 65 to make the cut on the number. He took advantage with rounds of 65-67 thereafter to climb all the way into the top-10. Redman was dialed in with his irons as he led the field for the week in SG: Approach. The top-10 finish earns him a spot into the Bank of Utah Championship, scheduled for Oct. 23-26.

2019
Redman just completed his third full season on the PGA Tour, and he made exactly half of his 28 cuts on the year. His best finish was a T21 (twice: Barbasol and Wyndham Championships). Although he took a step back in the standings this year relative to 2021, the Clemson product is still only 24, so he has a considerable amount of potential to grow into a regular contender. If he can convert some of his made cuts into top 20 finishes, he stands to improve on his earnings total next year.
Redman was a popular breakout pick in 2020-21. Instead, he took a bit of a step back. While the Clemson product did record more top-10s, Redman fell more than 50 positions in both scoring average in SG: total. He is still only 23 and has shown the ability to be an elite ball-striker when he is on.
Redman flashed his potential down the stretch of the season with some strong ball striking. He ranked top-15 in SG: Approach, FIR percentage, and GIR percentage. The short game does still need to be cleaned up, but that is the case with many young players. Redman no doubt has the firepower and he might be in for a breakout campaign in 2020-21.
Redman is from North Carolina, but he earned his first PGA Tour card thanks to his work last season on Canada's Mackenzie Tour. He made four of six cuts at PGA Tour events last year and finished as high as solo-second at Rocket Morgage Classic, earning 400 non-member points to finish the equivalent of 123rd on the FedEx list. Redman has a good all-around game. He is long and accurate off the tee and is precise with his irons. Redman turns just 22 in late December but has already provided excitement with great results. If he can build off what he has already accomplished, this could be a big season for him with high finishes and, before long, a win.
