Petersen didn't make any regular-season NHL appearances last year, and he'll begin the 2025-26 campaign at AHL Iowa if he clears waivers. He made 31 regular-season outings with AHL Lehigh Valley last year, going 13-15-3 with a 3.14 GAA and .885 save percentage.
