Cagnoni was assigned to AHL San Jose on Tuesday.

Cagnoni has two assists, seven shots on goal and nine blocked shots in six NHL outings this season. If Jan Rutta (lower body) and Jack Thompson (upper body) are unavailable for Wednesday's regular-season finale against Edmonton, Cagnoni could return to the Sharks.
