2025 Fantasy Outlook
The physicality and nastiness are what Dillon is known for, and that continued in 2024-25. In his first season with the Devils, he played all 82 regular-season games and finished with two goals, 16 points, 67 PIM, 191 hits and 108 blocked shots. The 34-year-old (35 on Nov. 13) is getting up there in age and needs to recover from a neck injury over the offseason, so it remains to be seen if he'll continue to be able to play the big, physical brand of hockey that is his calling card. If he can, he'll have appeal in leagues that place a high value on PIM and/or hits, but his offensive numbers are likely to remain modest. Read Past Outlooks

After spending the past three seasons with Winnipeg, Dillon signed a three-year, $12 million contract with the Devils in July. He netted a career-high eight goals and supplied 20 points in 77 regular-season contests last campaign. Dillon led the Jets with 241 hits and tied for third on the team with 111 blocked shots. He will kill penalties and log plenty of minutes at even strength but won't contribute much offensively. Still, Dillon's arrival will provide some much-needed defensive depth for New Jersey, and he can pile up hits and blocks for potential fantasy managers.

ANALYSIS
Dillon was playing in his 1000th NHL game when he was hurt Monday and held out of the third period for precautionary reasons. It seems the veteran blueliner will continue serving on the third pairing heading into his clash with the Stars. In 26 outings this year, Dillon has generated three goals and six helpers, offering minimal offensive upside.
