2025 Fantasy Outlook
Perron wasn't able to develop much of a rhythm early in the 2024-25 season while playing in nine games and missing 38 due to a personal matter and a back injury. He generated eight goals and 14 points in 24 outings after returning to the lineup but finished the regular season with only one goal and an assist in 10 appearances. The 37-year-old winger had 71 shots and 72 hits in 43 games during the regular season. Perron was productive as a top-six forward and has potential as a depth option in banger leagues. Nets goal in victory
Perron scored a goal on five shots, added two PIM and logged four hits in Thursday's 4-3 win over the Capitals.
ANALYSIS
Perron had gone three contests without a point. He's up to eight goals this season, but he's scored five of them over his last 10 outings while adding three assists in that span. The 37-year-old winger is up to 21 points, 58 shots on net, 52 hits, 14 PIM and an even plus-minus rating across 39 appearances. Perron should continue to work in a middle-six role with power-play time.

Perron provided 17 goals and 47 points in 76 contests with the Red Wings last season, making it the first campaign since 2018-19 in which he finished below the 50-point mark. He's 36 years old, so it's fair to believe his best seasons are behind him, but Perron still has some hockey left. He inked a two-year, $8 million contract with Ottawa over the summer and will likely play in a middle-six role at even strength while also serving on the second power-play unit. Under those circumstances, he should be able to provide at least 40 points while also recording 40-60 PIM and 100-125 hits.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Hoping to stay in Motor City
Perron would like to re-sign with the Red Wings ahead of the 2024-25 campaign, Sean Shapiro of EP Rinkside reports Thursday.
ANALYSIS
Perron fell just three points shy of hitting the 50-point threshold for the fifth straight season in 2023-24. Perron should have plenty of suitors on the open market if a contract extension with Detroit doesn't materialize.
