The main concern regarding Fortescue is a lack of offensive ability. He scored just one goal in 62 games this past year, something that doesn't bode well for the future. ANALYSIS
Fortescue failed to find the back of the net this season, registering 11 assists in 36 games for the Eagles. Selected by the Rangers in the third round of the 2023 NHL Draft, the 19-year-old defenseman would likely benefit from another year in college, further developing his game. Even then, Fortescue seems unlikely to immediately jump to the NHL ranks, likely stopping in the minors first.
