2025 Fantasy Outlook
The future of the Flames' crease is in good hands with Wolf. In his first full NHL campaign, the California-born netminder went 29-16-8 with a 2.64 GAA and a .910 save percentage over 53 games. He started 2024-25 sharing the crease with Dan Vladar, but Wolf's potential quickly earned him a starting role. He's been a winner at every level of hockey, and at 24 years old, he's still got a few years of improvement. His peak is a top-five NHL goalie, though the Flames still need to improve their roster after being one of the lowest-scoring teams last season. Wolf was excellent on thin margins, and he's clearly on the rise -- you have no reason to hesitate if his name is at the top of the draft board when you're on the clock. Read Past Outlooks
Surrenders four goals
Wolf stopped 27 of 31 shots in Friday's 5-3 loss to the Jets. The fifth goal was an empty-netter.
ANALYSIS
Wolf wasn't able to hold the Jets back in a four-goal second period, though two of them came on the power play. He's allowed four or more goals in four of his eight outings this season, leading to a 3.68 GAA and an .874 save percentage in addition to a 1-6-1 record. The Flames haven't had many easy matchups so far, but it may be best for fantasy managers to deploy Wolf against weaker teams. One such game could be up next, as the Flames host the low-scoring Rangers on Sunday.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
Wolf enters his first full NHL season with the weight of expectations on his young shoulders, but fantasy managers need to be patient with the two-time AHL goalie of the year and AHL MVP from 2022-23. The Flames are rebuilding and the defense will struggle in front of him. Wolf will do better than his 7-7-1, 3.15 GAA and .893 in limited action last season, but stardom won't come until after the Flames move into their new arena in 2027. Wolf's dynasty's value is high, but his single-year merits are average at best. He'll end up splitting time in a platoon with Dan Vladar, and he has a bad team in front of him.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Likely to start Friday
Wolf is in the starter's crease at morning skate, per Derek Wills of Sportsnet 960 The Fan, and is projected to start in Winnipeg on Friday.
ANALYSIS
Wolf has played well in his last two games, allowing four goals on 55 shots while going 0-1-1. Wolf's overall stats have been mediocre at best, posting a 1-5-1 mark with a 3.61 GAA and an .875 save percentage over seven starts. Wolf was sensational last season with a 29-16-8 record, and the Flames will need the 24-year-old goaltender to play that well this season if Calgary has any chance to play in playoff games.
