Lyubushkin spent most of the year alongside Thomas Harley but also logged minutes with Esa Lindell and Miro Heiskanen. Lyubushkin had eight assists, 57 PIM, 168 blocked shots and 176 hits in 74 regular-season games between Anaheim and Toronto last season. As those numbers suggest, he's a physical defenseman who doesn't do much offensively. Dallas signed him to a three-year, $9.75 million contract over the summer and will likely use him almost exclusively on the third pairing. That should lead to him once again being a solid source of PIM, blocks and hits in 2024-25, and he'll likely be a positive in plus-minus as well given the Stars' strength.
