2025 Fantasy Outlook
In 26 games, Fedotov went 6-13-4 with a 3.15 GAA and a .880 save percentage. It was his first extended run of time in the NHL after a three-game sample in 2023-24, but he's yet to establish himself as a reliable goalie. Part of that comes down to the Flyers' poor campaign as a team, especially defensively, but the starting job was up for grabs all year and Fedotov never played more than two games in a row. The Flyers could opt to remodel their goaltending room in the offseason, but Fedotov is under contract and would probably struggle to see a larger role with any other team if he ends up getting moved. Dealt to Columbus
GColumbus Blue Jackets
September 14, 2025
Fedotov was traded to Columbus from Philadelphia on Sunday in exchange for a 2026 sixth-round pick, Jackie Spiegel of The Philadelphia Inquirer reports.
ANALYSIS
Fedotov posted a 6-13-4 record with a 3.15 GAA and an .880 save percentage across 26 regular-season appearances for the Flyers in 2024-25. He has one more year left on his contract, which carries a $3.275 million cap hit. Fedotov will compete for playing time in 2025-26 as part of a crowded Columbus goalie depth chart, which also includes Elvis Merzlikins (concussion) and Jet Greaves.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Fedotov is a monstrous, 6-foot-7 goalie who arrived from the KHL at the end of March. Philly is rightfully excited - his save percentage hovered around .920 over his last three seasons, and he fills the net. Fedotov is athletic for a man his size, sees well because he hovers over guys in the crease and his skills are NHL average. If he can stay square in the net, he eats up space like few others but therein lies the risk, especially in the ultra-quick NHL. Fedotov can get out of shape and lose his net. That may explain his queasy NHL stats late in 2023-24. Flyers goaltending coaches will work on Fedotov's rebound control, positioning and control. While he won't star as he did on CSKA's run to the Gagarin Cup, Fedotov could become a successful NHL blocker. This season will be an experiment, though, so it's fantasy players beware.

Moves down depth chart
GPhiladelphia Flyers
October 31, 2024
Head coach John Tortorella indicated Thursday that Aleksei Kolosov has jumped Fedotov on the depth chart, so Fedotov is slated to serve as the No. 3 goalie moving forward, Charlie O'Connor of PHLY Sports reports.
ANALYSIS
Fedotov has struggled over his first three starts of the 2024-25 campaign, posting a 0-3-0 record, 5.35 GAA and .821 save percentage. While Kolosov has made just one start to begin the year, Tortorella wants to get a look at him as the primary backup to Samuel Ersson, so playing time will likely be hard to come by for Fedotov in the near future.
