Jack McBain

McBain notched 12 goals, 26 points and a team-leading 304 hits in 82 games during his rookie season in 2022-23. He struggled with consistency for most of the year before racking up 10 assists and 14 points in the final 20 contests of the campaign. His average ice time per game jumped from 13:15 to 16:14 during his late-season scoring surge, which suggests he could benefit greatly from an increased role in 2023-24. If McBain manages to secure a top-six forward spot, he could flirt with the 35-point mark. However, it's probably more likely that he spends most of 2023-24 as Arizona's third-line center, which will lead to around 25-30 points as well as 300-plus hits.

A former draft pick of the Wild, McBain was dealt to Arizona in March and immediately signed his entry-level deal with his new club. He ended up appearing in Arizona's final ten regular-season games, posting two goals and an assist. McBain had some nice offensive seasons during his four-year career at Boston College, but the fact he saw just 34 seconds worth of power-play time per game for the Coyotes late in the 2021-22 campaign isn't a great sign. He's a fringe prospect in keeper/dynasty formats.
