2025 Fantasy Outlook
Rempe is a towering forward who frequently utilizes his size and is perfectly willing to fight. He isn’t is much of a threat with the puck, and that shortcoming led to him logging just 42 games with the Rangers in 2024-25. He had 67 PIM and 117 hits while averaging 8:30 of ice time at the NHL level last year, so it’s not unreasonable to believe he could be a league leader in PIMs and record over 200 hits if he plays regularly on the Rangers’ fourth line this season. However, it wouldn’t be surprising if he ends up spending a good chunk of the campaign as a healthy scratch, so projecting him to finish with 70-90 PIM and 125-150 hits would be better. Rempe (upper body) didn't travel with the Rangers to Calgary ahead of Saturday's clash against the Flames, Colin Stephenson of Newsday reports.
ANALYSIS
Rempe is still being evaluated after suffering the upper-body injury during Thursday's 6-5 overtime loss to San Jose. If he's not with the team in Calgary, it seems reasonable to believe he'll also miss Tuesday's clash in Vancouver. It wouldn't be surprising if Rempe is also out for Thursday's game in Edmonton, but that's far enough in the future that there's still a chance he'll rejoin the team on the road by then. The 23-year-old has a goal, seven PIM and 30 hits in nine outings this year. Brennan Othmann might draw into the lineup due to Rempe's absence.

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Rempe made his NHL debut Feb. 18 and quickly became a fan favorite for his willingness to fight and play a physical style of hockey that blended well with his 6-foot-7, 241-pound frame. He ended up recording a goal, two points, 71 PIM, 12 shots and 50 hits in 17 regular-season games with the Rangers and added another goal, 10 PIM, five shots and 38 hits across 11 playoff contests. After making a huge first impression, it wouldn't be surprising to see Rempe make the Rangers out of training camp. He might not play in every game, but he should be a tremendous source of PIM and hits.
