2025 Fantasy Outlook
Following a year in which Coronato put up 24 goals and 23 assists during his first full season as a pro, he enters the 2025-26 campaign with a seven-year, $45.5 million contract. It’s a bet on the 22-year-old’s potential, and there seems to be plenty of it if his debut season is any indication. He and fellow rookie Dustin Wolf showed the future is bright in Calgary and were among the biggest reasons why the Flames nearly shocked the world and made the playoffs ahead of schedule before being eliminated just ahead of their final regular season game. Moving forward, the young, skilled winger will likely be given every opportunity to produce and succeed in 2025-26 on the Flames’ top power-play unit and in the top-six forwards where if all goes well, a 30-30 season could be in reach. The ball is now in Coronato’s court to build on last season and prove he was worth the long-term investment. Read Past Outlooks
Forces overtime Saturday
Coronato scored a power-play goal on four shots and added an assist in Saturday's 4-3 shootout loss to the Jets.
ANALYSIS
Coronato set up Kevin Bahl's goal in the second period before scoring one of his own with 1:14 left in regulation time. With three points over his last three games, Coronato may be heating up again. He's had some bursts of offense this season, but nothing that's been sustainable over a longer stretch. He's at five goals, four helpers, 56 shots on net, 12 PIM and a minus-11 rating through 19 appearances. Coronato has upside, but he may not do enough to help in redraft formats this year.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2023
One of the top prospects in the Calgary system, the Flames gave Coronato ample opportunity to earn a meaningful role in his rookie season and it never really worked out. He finished with just three goals and nine points in 34 games. The good news is that Coronato dominated the AHL after being sent down, posting 15 goals and 42 points in 41 games. Still just 21 years of age, Coronato remains a solid dynasty/keeper asset, but with Anthony Mantha signed in free agency and Andrei Kuzmenko acquired via trade late last season, the Long Island native figures to begin the 2024-25 campaign back in the minors.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
High expectations in 2025-26
Head coach Ryan Huska believes Coronato can score anywhere from 25 to 40 goals in 2025-26, Eric Francis of Sportsnet reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
Coronato is getting a look alongside the Flames' top playmaker in Jonathan Huberdeau, as well as top-line center Nazem Kadri. This indicates the Flames are willing to let the reins loose on the 22-year-old Coronato, who signed a seven-year contract in May to lock in his place in the Flames' core. Coronato has scored a total of 27 goals and added 29 assists over his first 112 NHL contests, but it wouldn't be surprising for him to take a big step up this season as a full-time member of the top line and first power-play unit.
