2025 Fantasy Outlook
Kadri potted a career-high 35 goals and posted a team-leading 67 points across 82 games during the 2024-25 regular season. He also led the Flames with 279 shots on goal and ranked second on the team with 22 power-play points. Kadri has been a dependable source of points on a team that has struggled offensively over the last two campaigns, as he’s recorded at least 29 goals in each of the last two seasons. The 34-year-old hasn’t missed a regular-season game over his three years in Calgary, and his shooting percentage with the club has been 10.7, which is nearly in line with his career average of 11.1. He will likely be the focal point of Calgary’s offense in 2025-26, and another 60-70-point performance should be well within his range. Read Past Outlooks
Heading to familiar home
Kadri and a 2027 fourth-round pick were acquired by Colorado from Calgary on Friday in exchange for a conditional first-round selection, a second-round pick, Victor Olofsson and Max Curran, per Pierre LeBrun of TSN.
ANALYSIS
The Flames are also retaining 20 percent of Kadri's remaining salary, so Colorado will be responsible for a $5.6 million annual cap hit through the 2028-29 campaign. Kadri has 12 goals and 41 points in 61 outings with the Flames in 2025-26. He's returning to an organization he's very familiar with. Kadri spent three campaigns with Colorado from 2019-20 through 2021-22. He took a huge step forward in 2021-22, providing 28 goals and 87 points in 71 regular-season outings before adding another seven goals and 15 points in 16 playoff appearances to help Colorado win the Stanley Cup in 2022. Kadri might serve primarily as Colorado's third-line center behind Nathan MacKinnon and Brock Nelson, but Kadri should contribute significantly more offensively than that role typically suggests.

Kadri led the Flames with 46 assists and 75 points in 82 games during his second season with the organization. It was a significant improvement from his 56-point display in 2022-23. Kadri spent most of the 2023-24 campaign playing alongside inexperienced players like Martin Pospisil, Connor Zary and Andrei Kuzmenko. The 33-year-old Kadri embraced his new role as a mentor while making all of his linemates better in the process. Assuming he isn't dealt elsewhere, he will be relied upon to lead Calgary offensively again this season. For fantasy managers, Kadri is an intriguing value target for center depth later in drafts.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Returning to Mile High City
Kadri is being traded to Colorado from Calgary on Friday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
ANALYSIS
Kadri spent three seasons with the Avs, racking up 58 goals and 97 helpers in 178 regular-season games. The veteran forward won the Stanley Cup with the team back in 2022, so both sides will likely be hoping for a repeat this time around. With the Avs, Kadri could be in line for a third-line role or shift to the wing.
