2025 Fantasy Outlook
Hague's heavier playing style often leads to some absences. In 2024-25, he posted 12 points, 82 hits and 74 blocked shots in 68 regular-season games for Vegas, which represented a slight decline on the physical side of the game. He has reached 17 points twice in six seasons, so there's not much room for growth here. He will probably fill a bottom-four role in the 2025-26 campaign after being moved to Nashville in the offseason. Read Past Outlooks

Lands on injured reserve
Hague (upper body) was placed on injured reserve Saturday, Brooks Bratten of the Predators' official site reports.
ANALYSIS
Hague is still approximately 2-3 weeks away from returning to action after sustaining an injury in the Predators' first preseason contest. The defenseman will be in the mix for bottom-four minutes once healthy. Look for Nick Blankenburg to get the first chance to fill in for Hague on the blue line.

Five years into his NHL career, Hague has settled into a depth role on the Vegas blueline. He's typically good for a handful of goals and roughly 15 points each season, shockingly low numbers for a guy who posted 35 goals and 78 points in his final OHL campaign. Still just 25 years of age, Hague did have a career-best 154 hits last season, but even that number isn't high enough to make him a player to target in formats that value such a statistic. Look elsewhere on draft day.

New contract top priority
Hague's new deal with the Golden Knights is general manager Kelly McCrimmon's top priority, Ben Gotz of the Las Vegas Review-Journal reports.
ANALYSIS
Hague remains an unsigned RFA and isn't at Vegas' training camp, which opened Thursday. He likely won't participate in preseason activities with the team until he's signed, so he could be in line for a slow start to the season unless a deal coalesces quickly.
