Ostlund had a successful season with AHL Rochester last year, notching 38 points on 19 goals in 53 games. That earned him some time in the NHL, getting an eight-game look at the end of the season in which he had no points and was a minus-6 in 10:33 of ice time per night. The cup of coffee with the Sabres was disappointing, but the 21-year-old still certainly has an NHL future given his youth and room for improvement. Ostlund has three goals and five points in the last seven games as the 16th overall pick in the 2022 Draft begins to get comfortable in the NHL.
