Stenberg has picked up seven points over 12 contests with AHL Springfield this season.
ANALYSIS
Stenberg spent part of the campaign with Malmo of the SHL, earning just six points over 25 contests. He's been much better on the international stage, racking up 21 points over 18 contests while representing Sweden's U20 team, including eight points across seven games at the World Junior Championship. His AHL production is solid so far, and at 19 years old, he still has plenty of room to grow.

Getting early audition
CSt. Louis Blues  Minors
September 19, 2025
Stenberg has gotten a look with Robert Thomas and Jimmy Snuggerud to begin training camp while Jake Neighbours tends to a personal matter, Lou Korac of The Hockey News reports Friday.
ANALYSIS
This falls somewhere between an audition with key players and a fill-in situation, as it's telling Stenberg was the player chosen to substitute for Neighbours. That said, this will likely be mostly an experience rather than a plan for things to come in 2025-26. Stenberg completed his first AHL season last year, earning a modest 17 points in 38 regular-season contests, and at just 20 years old, he will benefit more from continuing his development in the minors.
