2025 Fantasy Outlook
Holmberg had seven goals and a career-high 19 points in 68 appearances during the 2024-25 regular season. He added one assist and 11 shots in 12 playoff outings. Holmberg is responsible defensively and led the Maple Leafs with 28 penalties drawn, but his finishing ability hasn't been there. He had some success in bursts while seeing time as a top-six forward, but he is better suited for a bottom-six role. After Toronto declined to give Holmberg a qualifying offer this summer, he signed a two-year deal with Tampa Bay. He could be a waiver-wire add during the 2025-26 campaign if he gets to rub shoulders with high-level talent again. Read Past Outlooks

2024 Fantasy Outlook
Holmberg was in and out of the Toronto lineup early last season before earning a full-time role in the second half of the year. The end result was seven goals, 17 points, and an impressive plus-11 rating in 54 regular-season appearances. Holmberg was never much of a point producer even going back to his time in the AHL, so it's zero surprise the Leafs felt most comfortable deploying him in a depth role. The 25-year-old Swede appears to be in good shape to earn a spot in Toronto's bottom six out of training camp. It's not a role that will lead to any fantasy value.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
Drawing plenty of interest
Holmberg and the Leafs continue to talk, but there are other NHL teams interested in his services, Darren Dreger of TSN reports Tuesday.
ANALYSIS
Holmberg went missing in the postseason, registering zero goals and one assist in 12 playoff games. Still, it was a decent season overall for the 26-year-old winger as he set new personal bests with 12 assists and 19 points in 68 regular-season tilts. If he can get a full 82-game season, Holmberg should be capable of topping the 20-point mark for the first time in his four-year NHL career.
