Harley was a top candidate for regression after his 15-goal, 47-point effort in 2023-24, but instead, he elevated his offense slightly in his second full campaign. He racked up 16 goals and 50 points in 78 games in 2024-25, though his success largely came after Miro Heiskanen's severe knee injury in January. Harley earned 26 of his points over his last 29 regular-season contests. Having two defensemen at this caliber is a luxury for the Stars, and fantasy managers should be optimistic about Harley's long-term future. He'll be eligible for an extension ahead of restricted free agent status in 2026. Harley ended a five-game slump with the helper and is now at 18 points, 59 shots on net, 88 blocked shots, 25 hits and a minus-3 rating in 38 appearances. It's been a down year for the defenseman, who has logged totals of 47 and 50 points in the previous two regular seasons.

Harley is the latest success story for the Stars' scouting department, as he broke out to the tune of 15 goals and 47 points in 79 regular-season contests last year. He started the campaign as a question mark to be in the lineup, and he ended it in a top-pairing role alongside Miro Heiskanen. Harley's 10.4 shooting percentage is a red flag -- as a defenseman, he's unlikely to sustain that level of production -- but what he loses in goals should be made up for with assists, blocked shots and a strong plus-minus. Experience will also help, as the 23-year-old blueliner appeared to fade late with just one goal and 16 points over 39 regular-season and postseason contests from the start of March. He'll be a popular sleeper pick given his role and his potential, so expect to pay a premium for Harley on draft day.
