2025 Fantasy Outlook
Pitlick was limited to AHL action only in 2024-25, earning 46 points in 59 regular-season games with AHL Providence. He began the year on a minor-league contract, but he was able to secure a two-way deal with the Bruins before the end of the campaign. However, they didn't re-sign him in free agency, and Pitlick opted to join his hometown team, the Wild. Minnesota has enough prospect talent to fill out its roster, so Pitlick's chances of making the big club out of training camp will be low. He's still a passable depth forward who can offer some grit if he draws into the lineup. Read Past Outlooks
Waived by team
Pitlick was placed on waivers by the Wild on Monday, Elliotte Friedman of Sportsnet reports.
ANALYSIS
Pitlick's designation for waivers comes as the Wild claimed Robby Fabbri from the Blues in a corresponding move Monday. At this point, Pitlick will likely need an injury or two to pop up among Minnesota's forward group to earn his way back onto the NHL roster.

Set to play for his seventh team in six years, Pitlick signed a one-year contract with the Rangers this summer. He had 16 points in 61 outings in a bottom-six role for the Blues last season, and he also racked up 103 hits. He's a pesky winger with solid defensive instincts, and one that could help revitalize the Rangers' fourth line into a solid two-way group rather than a set of pure grinders. Nonetheless, Pitlick's limited scoring upside keeps him off the fantasy radar.

ANALYSIS
Pitlick received a combined 20 PIM for his fighting major, game misconduct and match penalty. As a result, the veteran center logged a mere 1:31 of ice time versus the Hurricanes. With no points through nine games this year, Pitlick won't offer much for fantasy managers moving forward.
