Zeev Buium

20-Year-Old DefensemanD
Vancouver Canucks
2025 Fantasy Outlook
After posting 48 points in 41 games during his sophomore season with Denver, Buium made his NHL debut under unique circumstances: Game 1 of the Stanley Cup Playoffs. He jumped right into a role on the third pair and quarterbacked Minnesota's top power play for four games before being scratched in the final two outings of the series. For the 2025-26 season, all signs point to him not only making the Wild but being an important piece of the team's top-four defensemen and power play. The 19-year-old will look to emulate Lane Hutson, who had six goals and 60 assists last year.. Buium has to earn the trust of the Wild brass first, but he has the offensive capabilities and high-caliber of offensive talent around him, where that kind of offensive season and being part of the Calder Trophy conversation doesn't seem too far-fetched. Snags helper in Friday's win
DVancouver Canucks
March 7, 2026
Buium recorded an assist in Friday's 6-3 win over the Blackhawks.
ANALYSIS
Buium set up a Jake DeBrusk tally in a frantic first period. The helper was Buium's first point in five games since he returned from a broken bone near his cheek that sidelined him for five contests prior to the Olympics. The defenseman is up to 21 points, 53 shots on net, 35 blocked shots and a minus-20 rating over 56 outings between the Canucks and the Wild in his rookie year.
