February 27, 2026
Dariush will fight Manuel Torres at UFC 327 on April 11, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Dariush boasts a 17-7 record in his lengthy UFC career, but he has lost three of his last four fights and will now be matched up against an opponent who isn't nearly as experienced but has won five of his six bouts with the promotion.
Lasts 16 seconds after weight miss

November 15, 2025
Dariush lost to Benoit Saint-Denis via KO (punch) at 0:16 of Round 1 at UFC 322 on Saturday in New York City.
ANALYSIS
Thanks for stopping by. As if an instant knockout defeat in a key fight wasn't bad enough, Dariush had to forfeit 25 percent of his purse to BSD following a 1.2 pound weight miss Friday morning. Given how long he's been with the company, that was certainly a nice chunk of change. Beneil landed a hard low kick and knee right after the opening bell rang, only to get clocked with a shot behind the ear that put him out in an instant. The 36-year-old has lost three of four, all via knockout, dating back to June 2023. Dariush is essentially done in terms of earning notable fights in a loaded lightweight division.
Misses weight, MSG fight still on

November 14, 2025
Dariush is scheduled to compete against Benoit Saint-Denis in a catchweight fight at UFC 322 in New York City on Saturday, MMA Fighting reports.
ANALYSIS
Dariush and Saint-Denis were scheduled for a lightweight fight at UFC 322. However, the former missed the promotion's lightweight limit by 1.2 pounds. For their Madison Square Garden fight to go on, Dariush will forfeit 20 percent of his purse to Saint-Denis. Even with the weight miss, Dariush can make 2025 a solid year, considering he enters the upcoming bout 1-0 in the year after defeating former UFC Lightweight Championship challenger Renato Moicano.
Shines in return from long layoff

June 28, 2025
Dariush defeated Renato Moicano via unanimous decision (29-28, 29-28, 29-28) at UFC 317 on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
Now 36 years old, coming off back-to-back knockout defeats and having not fought since December 2023, Dariush deserves all the credit in the world for what was an excellent performance. Round 1 was the closest of the three, and even then, Beneil was doing very well until he got knocked down late. He recovered exceedingly well and proceeded to dominate an exhausted Moicano over the final two rounds. Dariush's five takedowns tied a career-high which was previously set against Diego Ferreira back in February 2021. As impressive as Beneil was tonight, between his age and inactivity of late, he needs to get back in the Octagon as soon as possible.
Moicano bout scheduled again
LightweightUFC
May 13, 2025
Dariush will fight Renato Moicano at UFC 317 on June 28 in a lightweight bout, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Dariush was expected to face Moicano at UFC 311 in January, but the Brazilian filled in for Arman Tsarukyan in the main card of that event against Islam Makhachev. This fight was bound to be rescheduled, and now fans will get their wish granted for UFC 317. Dariush has lost his last two fights and will aim to bounce back against an opponent who was dominated easily in his most recent trip to the octagon.
