Not competitive in Jersey loss
FlyweightUFC
June 7, 2025
Silva lost to Joshua Van via TKO (punches) at 4:03 of Round 3 at UFC 316 on Saturday in Newark, New Jersey.
ANALYSIS
Silva was routed from start to finish and was extremely lucky to last as long as he did. Bruno's striking defense has never been very good, and that was a recipe for disaster given Van's all-world speed and creativity on the feet. It took three knockdowns and countless unanswered blows before referee Vitor Ribeiro had finally seen enough. Now 35 years old, Silva has lost back-to-back bouts on the heels of a four-fight winning streak. Of course, those two defeats came against Van and Manel Kape, two guys pushing their way towards the top of the rankings at 125 pounds.

FlyweightUFC

Silva will fight Joshua Van at UFC 313 on March 8, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.

No-shows Tampa defeat
FlyweightUFC
December 15, 2024
Silva lost to Manel Kape via TKO (punches) at 1:57 of Round 3 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Tampa, Florida.
ANALYSIS
To say Silva no-showed the biggest fight of his career would be a massive understatement. He was so bad that the highlight of his evening was the three low blows landed on Kape, which forced referee Keith Peterson to deduct a point in Round 2. Silva served as a punching bag the entire fight before getting overwhelmed for good a couple minute into Round 3. Silva entered having won four in a row, but they all came against lower-end competition. This performance shows there's a monumental gap between the Brazilian and the best the UFC's flyweight division has to offer.
Draws Kape in Tampa
FlyweightUFC
September 26, 2024
Silva will take on Manel Kape in a flyweight matchup at UFC Tampa on Dec. 14, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Silva is inching closer to the flyweight title picture following four consecutive wins, but he's due for a tougher test, and Kape is it. Although Kape is coming off a lost, he did have a four-fight winning streak of his own prior to that, and he didn't take a high degree of damage in that defeat. A win here would earn Silva a top-10 spot in the division's rankings.
