Looks to bounce back at UFC 314
Oleksiejczuk will take on Sedriques Dumas in a middleweight matchup at UFC 314 on April 12, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Despite hovering around .500 for much of his time with the UFC, Oleksiejczuk lost all three of his fights in the 2024 calendar year. Despite a Fight of the Night bonus his last time out against Shara Magomedov, his roster spot could be in jeopardy with a loss here. He takes on an opponent in Dumas who has won three of his last four, most recently emerging victorious against Denis Tiuliulin in August. He'll be giving up height and reach advantages to Dumas, who is also a capable wrestler that will likely look to exploit his poor takedown defense (48 percent) as well.

Third loss in last five months
Oleksiejczuk lost to Shara Magomedov via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
It didn't go his way, but Oleksiejczuk had a chance to win this fight. It was a wild, back-and-forth brawl, and that's the only type of bout it seems as if Oleksiejczuk can emerge victorious in these days. Michal entered with 14 knockout victories on his resume, but it didn't appear as if any of his blows damaged Magomedov in the least. Shara simply walked through everything Oleksiejczuk sent his way and responded with even more damaging strikes of his own. A .500 fighter (7-7, 1NC) throughout his 15-fight UFC run, Oleksiejczuk has lost three in a row dating back to this past March. One saving grace is that all three defeats came against quality opposition (Michel Pereira, Kevin Holland, Magomedov) in a short period of time. Another bright spot is that he'll walk away with a $50,000 bonus here after this co-main event matchup was awarded Fight of the Night honors.

Headed to Abu Dhabi
Oleksiejczuk (arm) will take on Shara Magomedov in a middleweight matchup at UFC Abu Dhabi on August 3, per the UFC Vegas 94 broadcast (via Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl).
ANALYSIS
Oleksiejczuk appeared to suffer a broken arm in a June loss to Kevin Holland but has consistently asserted otherwise, and he may be right if the UFC is ready to book this fight just a few months later. The company is doing Oleksiejczuk no favors, however, as he'll have to head overseas to face an undefeated prospect in Magomedov. Oleksiejczuk has lost three of his last four, while Magomedov is undefeated in two appearances with the company, most recently defeating Antonio Trocoli via third-round stoppage in a bonus-winning effort.

Continues to assert incorrect stoppage
Oleksiejczuk told Nolan King of USA Today that he did not suffer a broken arm in his UFC 302 loss to Kevin Holland on Saturday.
ANALYSIS
Oleksiejczuk immediately protested the stoppage Saturday and continues to hold firm that the stoppage was incorrect, though visual evidence certainly appeared to display a serious arm/elbow injury. In any case, he's still received an indefinite medical suspension from the New Jersey State Athletic Control Board (NJSACB), so he'll need an actual orthopedist to confirm his assertions if he intends to fight again within the next six months.

Protests after arm snaps
Oleksiejczuk lost to Kevin Holland via technical submission (armbar) at 1:34 of Round 1 at UFC 302 on Saturday in Newark.
ANALYSIS
Oleksiejczuk put his power and speed to good use early, catching Holland with a right hand that sent him to the mat. Perhaps mistaken about how hurt his opponent was, "Hussar" dove into his guard, after which Holland effortlessly moved from triangle setup to armbar. If it weren't for "Trailblazer" telling the referee that his arm had snapped, Oleksiejczuk would likely have kept going, as he was visibly upset after the stoppage despite clear indications that the arm was severely compromised. Oleksiejczuk has the skills on the feet to compete with some of the best in the division, but the ground game continues to be an issue, as he has now been submitted in three of his last four fights. He falls to 19-8 in professional MMA due to the loss.
