Finally earns first UFC win

October 25, 2025
Raposo defeated Azat Maksum via unanimous decision (30-26, 29-27, 29-27) at UFC 321 on Saturday in Abu Dhabi.
ANALYSIS
In a fight between two guys looking at a release is they came up short, Raposo not only picked up his first UFC victory in three attempts, but he also walked away with 30 percent of Maksum's purse after the latter missed weight by three pounds Friday morning. Mitch didn't exactly set the world on fire with his performance, but he displayed strong cardio and got better as the fight progressed, while Maksum clearly faded. In the end, that was enough. There's an overwhelming chance this goes down as Raposo's high point with the company, but the victory increases the chances that we see him again inside the Octagon.

Raposo and Azat Maksum will compete in a catchweight fight at UFC 321 in Abu Dhabi on Saturday, UFC.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Maksum missed the UFC's flyweight limit of 126 pounds. He will forfeit 30 percent of his purse to Raposo, who is finally looking to log his first UFC win. Raposo has losses to Su Madaerji and Andre Lima, the latter having also missed weight for his bout against the 0-2 American.

Raposo will take on Azat Maksum at UFC 321 on Oct. 25 in Abu Dhabi, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
The 5-foot-5 flyweight will get another shot at his first UFC win after losing his first two fights via split decision to Andre Lima and Su Mudaerji. Raposo will fight another recently struggling fighter in Maksum, who is 1-2 in the UFC and coming off a two-fight losing streak as well. The pair both are looking to bounce back in Abu Dhabi, which should make for an entertaining viewing with high stakes.
Still looking for first UFC win

Raposo lost to Su Muadaerji via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC 314 on Saturday in Miami.
ANALYSIS
Raposo hung around and was competitive, but the truth of the matter is that it's very difficult to say you deserve a decision when you land all of nine significant strikes in 15 minutes. Mitch had all sorts of issues with the length of Su. He appeared hesitant and refused to engage on the feet, instead preferring to fire off a whopping 19 takedown attempts. Raposo landed a half-dozen, but did nothing with his positional advantage. The 26-year-old Massachusetts native has now lost both of his UFC appearances via split decision. He'll probably get another fight with the company, but nothing is guaranteed beyond that.

Raposo will fight Su Mudaerji at UFC 314 on April 12, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Raposo dropped his UFC debut against Andre Lima via split decision back in June. He could have a better shot at capturing his first win against Mudaerji, who has lost three consecutive bouts but will still have a 7.5-inch reach advantage over Raposo.

Raposo lost to Andre Lima via split decision (27-30, 28-29, 27-30) at UFC 302 on Saturday in Newark
ANALYSIS
One judge somehow found his way to giving Raposo a scorecard, but he did little to deserve it. Aside from some decent combination punching in Round 3, the debutante failed to show the power and speed that made him one to watch when he was showcased on the regional scene. Raposo has skills, and it's worth noting that he came into this fight on short notice, but he will need to enter his next bout fully engaged if he wants to have a chance to hang around in the organization. He falls to 9-2 in professional MMA due to the loss.
