Heavy for UFC 314
Cornolle missed weight for her bantamweight fight with Hailey Cowan at UFC 314 on Saturday in Miami, UFC.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Cornolle missed the bantamweight limit, 136 pounds, by 2.5 pounds in her first weigh-in attempt. She lost a pound, which was not enough to prevent her forfeiting 20 percent of her purse to Cowan. The fight will go on as scheduled one month earlier than when it was initially supposed to happen at UFC 315 in May.

Fighting Cowan in May
Cornolle will take on Hailey Cowan at UFC 315 on May 10, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Cornolle will head into the fight looking to bounce back from her recent loss to Jacqueline Cavalcanti in September. Cornolle will have to overcome slight disadvantages in both height and reach against the younger American. The 35-year-old French fighter will likely be looking for an early finish as both her professional losses have come via decision.

Handed first UFC setback
Cornolle lost to Jacqueline Cavalcanti via split decision (28-29, 29-28, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Paris.
ANALYSIS
It's literally impossible to score this fight for Cornolle and it really makes you wonder what the one dissenting judge was watching. Neither woman did much in Round 1, with Nora landing her only takedown attempt. She was then routed over the course of the final ten minutes. Cornolle went 0-of-8 on her takedown attempts the rest of the way and got off second in virtually every single striking exchange between the two. This was a winnable fight against a one-dimensional striker, but Cornolle wasn't able to take advantage. Set to turn 35 years of age in December, Nora has zero upside despite the fact she is 2-1 in her first three UFC bouts.

Taking on Cavalcanti in Paris
Cornolle will face Jacqueline Cavalcanti at UFC Paris on September 28 instead of Germaine de Randamie, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Randamie was dropped from the bout for unspecified reasons, and rather than scratching the fight altogether, Cavalcanti was chosen as a last-minute replacement. Cornolle will hope to use the home crowd to her advantage against the younger fighter, though the two met previously in a different promotion in 2021, with Cavalcanti earning a decision victory and handing Cornolle her only professional loss. The french fighter will head into the fight riding an eight-bout win streak coming off that defeat and will look to earn her revenge in Paris.

Will face De Randamie
Cornolle will take on Germaine De Randamie in a bantamweight bout at UFC Paris on Sept. 28, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Cornolle is riding some momentum coming into this bout, as she hasn't lost professionally since 2021 and is 2-0-0 in the UFC, most recently defeating Melissa Tonya Mullens in early April. She'll look to maintain her winning streak against the 40 year-old De Randamie, who recently lost in her first time back in the octagon since 2021.
