Set to face Alencar
Demopoulos will take on Talita Alencar in a strawweight bout at UFC Vegas 105 on April 5th, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Demopoulos will take on a less experienced UFC opponent in Alencar, as the latter is just 1-1 in the promotion while Demopoulos boasts a 5-3 record. Both fighters are coming off losses, however. Demopoulos was bested by Jaqueline Amorim via a round one arm bar in September, while Alencar lost. to Stephanie Luciano via unanimous decision back in August.

Controversial submission defeat
Demopoulos lost to Jaqueline Amorim via submission (armbar) at 3:28 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
It wouldn't be a Demopoulos fight without a controversial result. For starters, Vanessa was dominated by Amorim the entire bout. She gave up an immediate takedown and was controlled on the mat the rest of the way. The controversy came when Demopoulos began yelling Amorim was grabbing the inside of her gloves to improve her position. Referee Jacob Montalvo felt otherwise and allowed the bout to continue, with Demopoulos tapping out shortly thereafter. Vanessa has been awarded multiple decisions in her UFC run that most observers thought she deserved to lose, so she was due to be on the wrong end of a result. The soon-to-be 36-year-old Canadian is little more than roster depth for the company.

Scheduled against Amorim
Demopoulos is scheduled to compete against Jaqueline Amorim in a strawweight fight at UFC Vegas 97 on Sept. 7, per Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl.
ANALYSIS
Demopoulos has an opportunity to expand her winning streak to three, looking to make the third much more decisive than the first two. Amorim is also fighting off back-to-back wins.

Fortunate to emerge with win
Demopoulos defeated Emily Ducote via split decision (29-28, 28-29, 29-28) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Las Vegas.
ANALYSIS
No fighter in the UFC is as adept at getting gifted questionable decision victories as Demopoulos. Three of her past four wins have come in a similar fashion to what we saw here. Vanessa was by no means dominated and may very well have landed the more impactful blows, but she lost the significant strikes battle by a 143-109 count and failed on all three of her takedown attempts. She's very fortunate two of the three judges felt she won. Demopoulos' ceiling is nowhere near as high as her 4-1 record in her past five bouts would lead you to believe.

Matched up against Ducote
Demopoulos will fight Emily Ducote at a UFC event scheduled for May 18, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Demopoulos has won three of her last four bouts, most recently emerging victorious over Kanako Murata in October. Demopoulos have momentum and experience on her side versus Ducote but will have to overcome a 3.5-inch reach disadvantage.
