Losing streak hits three
LightweightUFC
March 29, 2025
Pichel lost to Rafa Garcia via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 28-29) at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in Mexico City.
ANALYSIS
The oldest fighter on the UFC roster at age 42, Pichel looked pretty good here, all things considered. Entering as a +275 underdog, Vinc was able to work his way back into the fight after a lousy opening round. He picked up the pressure in the second frame and predictably had more success as a result. Of course, it ended up not mattering because two of the three judges gave Garcia Round 2, but this fight very easily could have been tied entering the final stanza, at which point Pichel gassed. His time with the UFC would appear to have come to an end when you combine his age with the fact he's lost three in a row, but perhaps the company will award Pichel a "retirement" fight given the fact he's been with the UFC since December 2012.

Booked versus Rafa Garcia
LightweightUFC
February 20, 2025
Pichel will fight Rafa Garcia at UFC Mexico on March 29, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Garcia was originally scheduled to fight Joaquim Silva, but Silva was dropped from the card for undisclosed reasons so Pichel will step in on fairly short notice. Pichel has the height and reach advantage over Garcia, but Garcia will have the crowd behind him in his home country.
Routed by Ismael Bonfim
LightweightUFC
May 4, 2024
Pichel lost to Ismael Bonfim via unanimous decision (27-30, 27-30, 27-30) at UFC 301 on Saturday in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
ANALYSIS
Father Time remains undefeated, as Pichel, now 41 years of age, had nothing for the younger, stronger, more athletic Bonfim. Vinc is one of the toughest men on the roster and always game to stand with his opponent and throw down, but he had zero chance of winning that type of fight here, as evidenced by the fact Bonfim nearly doubled him up (112-64) in terms of total strikes landed. Pichel has been a member of the UFC roster since December 2012, but has fought just 11 times (7-4) during that span. Without a victory dating back to August 2021, the company could easily decide to cut bait here.

ANALYSIS
Pichel was originally set to fight against Bonfim at UFC Sao Paulo on Nov. 4, 2023. However, the bout was canceled after Bonfim missed weight.
Bout scrapped
LightweightUFC
November 3, 2023
Pichel's matchup with Ismael Bonfim at UFC Sao Paulo on Saturday was canceled, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.com reports.
ANALYSIS
Both fighters came in heavy on the first weigh-in, though Pichel was able to cut down in his second attempt. It's a moot point though, as the two sides were apparently unable to come to a new fight agreement.
Makes weight on second attempt
LightweightUFC
November 3, 2023
Pichel will fight Ismael Bonfim at a catchweight at UFC Sao Paulo on Saturday after the latter came in over the lightweight limit, Guilherme Cruz of MMAFighting.comreports.
ANALYSIS
Pichel also weighed in heavy initially, but he was able to cut down for a second attempt. His loss to Mark Madsen in April ended a three-fight win streak, while Bonfim is also looking to get back in the win column after a loss to Benoit Saint-Denis.
