Palou's day ended early in the IndyCar Series Good Ranchers 250 at Phoenix Raceway, crashing on Lap 21 and finishing 24th.
ANALYSIS
Contact with Rinus VeeKay ended Palou's race early on Saturday. The crash also knocked the four-time champion out of the points lead for the first time since 2024. Palou will look to rebound in the Grand Prix of Arlington, a brand-new race on the IndyCar schedule. He's traditionally been strong on street courses, including picking up a win at St. Petersburg to start the 2026 season. Palou led 59 of 100 laps in that race earlier in March.
