2026 Fantasy Outlook
The veteran driver extended his streak of Top 5 points finishes with a third-place effort in 2025. Allgaier would grab three victories and 20 Top-10 finishes in order to make the championship battle in the finale. He would come up short in his quest for a second series championship title. However, Allgaier would post "championship-like" performance once again. Now with 28 career victories and over 500 O'Reilly Series starts, this JR Motorsports star is one of the most tenured and successful drivers in this division of NASCAR. Allgaier gets a new crew chief for 2026 in Andrew Overstreet. He replaces Jim Pohlman who returned to the Cup Series for the upcoming season. The change at chief should be of little concern. Allgaier knows what has to be done and how to do it to be a top championship contender. Read Past Outlooks
Runner-up Finish at Daytona
Allgaier finished second in the United Rentals 300 O'Reilly Auto Parts Series race at Daytona International Speedway on Saturday evening.
ANALYSIS
Allgaier continued his strong Daytona resume with a solid performance in this season-opener. He'd start 13th on the grid and quickly join the leaders. The JR Motorsports star would battle among the Top 5 all night in this 300-mile contest. While Allgaier didn't lead any laps he'd be there at the end to challenge for the win. He'd fall to Austin Hill by just 0.081-seconds at the finish line. The runner-up finish was Allgaier's 10th-career Daytona Top 5.

After 14 seasons of toil Allgaier finally cashed in on his first Xfinity Series championship in 2024. The veteran driver would race to just two victories during the campaign but he would also chalk up 20 Top-10 finishes per his norm. Allgaier's heater late in the playoffs would be the key and a clutch runner-up finish in the season finale at Phoenix would seal his first championship. With close to 500 series starts and 25-career wins, he is the most tenured of the regular Xfinity Series drivers. Despite being 38-years-old we don't see Allgaier slowing down anytime soon. He's finished in the Top 5 of the driver standings in each of the last six seasons and Allgaier has had multi-win campaigns in all of those except one. Late last season he signed a contract extension through 2026 that will keep him contending for championships for the foreseeable future.
