2025 Fantasy Outlook
It has not been confirmed at the point of this writing, but it is expected that Sieg will return to the no. 28 Ford team for 2025. He's piloted this car for the past three seasons. Last year he attained one Top-10 finish and 10 Top-20 finishes, coming home a subpar 24th-place in the overall driver standings. However, Sieg did accomplish his career best average finish of 23.0 last season. That's a sign of some improvement and a hopeful indicator going forward. Intermediate and larger ovals, especially superspeedway seem to be this team's strength. That's noteworthy in fantasy leagues as Sieg could pay dividends on those ovals in the deeper driver tiers. Tops Nashville Xfinity Practice
XFINITY Series
May 31, 2025
Sieg was fastest in Happy Hour practice for the Tennessee Lottery 250 NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Nashville Superspeedway on Saturday afternoon. He turned a fast lap of 153.910 mph.
ANALYSIS
Sieg pushed the 154 mph in this brief and lone practice ahead of pole qualifying in Nashville. He edged Sammy Smith to top the scoring pylon at the 1.33-mile oval. Sieg has been a steady performer on the mid-sized ovals this season, but leading this practice came as a bit of a surprise. He could challenge the Top 10 Saturday night at Nashville Superspeedway.

Past Fantasy Outlooks
2024
2022
The veteran owner/driver suffered some regression in 2023. Sieg struggled to just four Top-10 finishes and an 18th-place finish in the final driver standings. It was his worst campaign since the 2018 season. For a driver and team that has been in steady growth and progression mode for several years, it was a bit perplexing. Sieg faces an ever-improving and ever-younger group of competitors and it could be that it just finally caught up to him in 2023. While we expect a rebound of sorts from Sieg and the No. 39 team in 2024, we would caution against overly ambitious expectations. His qualifying needs to improve to a good degree, and that will be a key point in regaining some of Sieg's past success.
Sieg singed late in the off-season to drive the part-time car for RSS Racing. He'll pilot the No. 28 Ford in a partial schedule starting with Daytona. It's not known at this time how many starts he'll make in 2022.
