Lance Stroll

Stroll will trade one world champion teammate for another in 2023 as he welcomes Fernando Alonso to Aston Martin. Stroll spoke positively about his relationship with Sebastian Vettel, and also indicated his excitement to pair with Alonso, hoping the latter will push him even further. The coming year will be Stroll's seventh in the series, but he has yet to crack the top 10 in the championship. He scored three podiums in those first seven seasons but none since 2020. His best result last year was a sixth place in Singapore, which is a finish he has to be aiming for more frequently with the team's advancement. Last year's car was a reliable one and bringing in Alonso's knowledge of car development could help Stroll raise his game. However, the risk for the Canadian in 2023 could be his difference in style, both driving and personal, to his new teammate.
