Parker Retzlaff

22-Year-Old Driver
Viking Motorsports
2026 Fantasy Outlook
Retzlaff moves from Alpha Prime Racing to the upstart Viking Motorsports team in the new season. He'll take over the No. 99 Chevrolet and partner with crew chief, Danny Efland. Retzlaff now has over 100 series starts to his credit and has shown some flashes of ability to this point. He collected just three Top-10 finishes with his former race team, but they did have several resource limitations. If some things can come together with this race team, Retzlaff can push into the 8-to-10 Top-10 territory and challenge the mid-teens in the driver standings in 2026. Viking's technical alliance with Richard Childress Racing will be the catalyst for this team to move up the standings. Read Past Outlooks
Runner-up Finish at Atlanta
O'Reilly Auto Parts Series
February 21, 2026
Retzlaff finished second in the Bennett Transportation & Logistics 250 NASCAR O'Reilly Series race at EchoPark Speedway on Saturday night.
ANALYSIS
The driver of the No. 99 Chevrolet would earn his first Top-5 finish of the season at EchoPark Speedway on Saturday night. Retzlaff started 23rd on the grid and quickly raced his way inside the Top 5 by the close of stage 1. He'd battle among the Top 10 most of the way from there. Retzlaff would find himself battling for the win in the closing laps and would promote to second place as Sheldon Creed passed a spinning Austin Hill on the last lap. It was his first Top 5 of the season and fifth-career Top 5.

2025
2024
2023
Retzlaff has turned some heads with his competitive racing in the Jordan Anderson No. 31 Chevrolet over the past two seasons. The young driver nabbed 11 combined Top 10's in those two campaigns and finished a career best 16th-place in the driver points in 2023. Now Retzlaff moves onto Alpha Prime Racing for 2025. He'll fill the seat of the team's No. 4 Chevrolet, which was a car piloted by multiple drivers last season and attained very little in the way of results. This will be a big opportunity for Retzlaff to shine and at the same time elevate this growing race team. Joe Williams comes in to handle the crew chief responsibilities and brings his five seasons and 163 starts of Xfinity Series experience to the table. This team will have its limitations but Retzlaff's abilities are the clearest and most important asset.
The 20-year-old made a pretty good splash in his rookie season of 2023. Retzlaff piloted this small team to seven Top-10 finishes and a respectable 16th-place finish in the final standings. He even snagged a Top 5 in the season opener at Daytona last February. Jordan Anderson Racing has brought him back in 2024 for season two. Nothing appears to be changing about the team situation and sponsorship, so we'll truly get to see if Retzlaff can grow and improve on his first full Xfinity Series campaign. He doesn't have the speed to lead laps and challenge for wins with this team, but Retzlaff can increase his Top 10 numbers and improve his average finish position, which was a reasonable 17.9 last season. The youngster has the ability and means to secure some better performance in the upcoming season.
Youngster Retzlaff will take over the No. 31 Chevrolet and replace Myatt Snider at Jordan Anderson Racing. Snider struggled to just four Top 10's in this car last season, so the option to move him out in favor of Retzlaff was made by the team. The 19-year-old talent made just nine starts last year between two different teams with one Top-10 and three Top-15 finishes to his credit. It was a good intro to this division of NASCAR and good setup to his first full-time action and rookie season. Retzlaff has been on a pretty steady climb up the NASCAR development ladder, despite not having stellar lower league stats and accomplishments. Still, being paired with this very capable race team makes the young talent an intriguing driver to watch in 2023.
