Makes two-stop strategy pay off
VeeKay finished second in the Ontario Honda Dealers IndyCar race at the Streets of Toronto on Sunday.
ANALYSIS
VeeKay had slipped back down the field in recent weeks but looked like a good candidate to return to the top-10 after qualifying ninth. However, he and his team did even better primarily based on strategy, as he stretched his alternate tires to last 13 laps to begin the race. That allowed VeeKay to execute a two-stop race to return to the podium for the first time since 2022.
