Christopher Trimmel News: Signs contract extension

Trimmel is staying at Union Berlin until the 2026/27 campaign after signing a new contract, the team announced Tuesday.

Trimmel will continue his career for at least another season with the team in which he has found the most success over the past 11 years. The veteran full-back should continue to stand out as a playmaker and set-piece taker, although his playing time could eventually decrease given that he'll be 39 years old by the next season. During the 2025/26 Bundesliga competition, he has delivered two assists from 35 chances created and 120 crosses after 16 matches played.
