Palmer (groin) wasn't fully healthy in Saturday's 2-1 loss to Manchester United, manager Enzo Maresca said during his post-game press conference, according to Simon Johnson of The Athletic. "Cole this morning did a test to play this game. He was not 100%. It was a fantastic effort for the club, for his team-mates, for the team. Unfortunately he was not 100 percent. He decided it was too much."

Palmer left the game before the 25th minute in Saturday's 2-1 loss at Old Trafford, and Maresca later revealed that the star playmaker wasn't fully healthy to play. It's uncertain if Palmer had a setback or if Maresca simply wanted to give him a break in a complicated scenario, as he didn't go into further details regarding the reasons for the sub. It's unclear if Palmer will be available to face Brighton on Saturday, Sep. 27.
