Niang (international duty) won't be an option for Wednesday's Champions League clash against Bayern since he will be too short to feature after coming back from the AFCON, coach David Hubert said in the press conference, according to Walfoot. "Ousseynou is the African champion; he was in the country for the victory ceremonies, he is expected tomorrow but will not take part in the match."

Niang is expected to join the team on Wednesday after ending his international duty at the AFCON with Senegal but the midfielder won't be an option to face Bayern as the game is coming too close for him. The left midfielder has been an undisputed starter for Union SG this season in the Champions League, therefore his absence will have to be replaced, with Guilherme Smith as the main option to start on the left flank against the Bavarians.
