Ta'amu connected with tight end Briley Moore-McKinney for a beauty of a 39-yard touchdown pass early in the second quarter to get the Defenders on the board after an early 12-0 deficit. The veteran signal-caller then added a seven-yard rushing score early in the third quarter to knot the game at 18-18 at the time. Ta'amu had just set a new season high in passing yardage (243) in the Week 3 win over the Battlehawks, but he surpassed that figure comfortably Sunday while scoring multiple times for the second consecutive contest. Despite the defeat, Ta'amu will have plenty of momentum going into a Week 5 road matchup against the Renegades next Sunday.
