2025 Fantasy Outlook

Barker had a somewhat slow start to her college career over her first three seasons, but she had a prominent role at Alabama over the last two years and was selected by the Sparks with the ninth pick in this year's draft. Barker has the ability to attack the rim, and she improved her perimeter shooting over the past two seasons, converting 36.3 percent of her three-point attempts while averaging 17.5 points to go with 6.3 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 2.0 steals in 30.8 minutes per game. The Sparks acquired Kelsey Plum during the offseason to play alongside Dearica Hamby, Rickea Jackson, Cameron Brink and Azura Stevens, and Barker could be forced to compete for bench minutes to begin her rookie season. However, Barker showed an ability to improve in college, so it wouldn't be surprising to see her role grow throughout the 2025 campaign, but she still seems unlikely to be more than a streaming candidate in most fantasy formats given the talent around her. The Sparks selected Barker with the No. 9 overall pick in the 2025 WNBA Draft on Monday, HerHoopStats.com reports.

ANALYSIS
Barker was drafted by Los Angeles after a career-best year in 28 games with Alabama, during which she averaged 18.2 points, 6.3 rebounds, 3.9 assists, 2.0 steals and 0.8 blocks across 31.7 minutes per game. The 23-year-old guard will likely compete for playing time with Odyssey Sims, Aari McDonald and Rae Burrell in the Sparks' backcourt.
