It's trade deadline eve! Wednesday has a lot of afternoon action, leaving us with six games on the DFS docket starting at 6:40 p.m. EDT or later. Here are my lineup recommendations. Perhaps one of these guys will be playing their final game with their current team. But probably not. Eugenio Suarez isn't involved in this slate, after all.

Pitching
Nathan Eovaldi, TEX at LAA ($10,500): Eovaldi is having an amazing season that isn't part of the AL Cy Young conversation because he's made only 17 starts. He has an 1.50 ERA and 5.61 K/BB rate, and even his 2.37 FIP is quite impressive. The Angels are middle of the pack in runs scored, but that's a far cry from being concerning with Eovaldi on the mound.
Miles Mikolas, STL vs. MIA ($6,600): Well, Mikolas' last three home starts have been good, even if his road efforts have been poor. On the season he has a 3.75 ERA in St. Louis. The Marlins won't finish in the bottom five in runs scored, but they are fighting tooth and nail to avoid finishing in the bottom 10. The pitching options on this slate, aside from Eovaldi, are iffy at best, in part due to talent and in part due to the fact most of the worst offenses aren't the mix. Thus, Mikolas emerged.
Top Targets
Sure, the switch-hitting Jose Ramirez ($3,900) is quite good against righties, but he's even better against lefties. This year he has a .940 OPS versus southpaws, and he's even managed to steal 14 of his 31 stolen bases against them as well. Kyle Freeland is going to have an ERA over 5.00 for the third season in a row, and in that time he has a 5.26 ERA on the road. He's a bad pitcher. It's not just Coors Field.
With a stolen base Tuesday, Randy Arozarena ($3,400) has secured his fifth straight 20/20 season. He has an .868 OPS versus lefties, and the Mariners are in Sacramento, where the Athletics' makeshift home has proven to be as hitter-friendly as expected. To that end, lefty Jeffrey Springs has a 4.27 ERA at home, but he's also allowed 1.9 homers per nine innings at home as well.
Bargain Bats
Jonathan Aranda ($2,900) hits liners more than moonshots, resulting in 22 doubles on the season. Also, he's batted .322 against righties and hit 11 of his 12 home runs in those matchups. While Will Warren hasn't allowed many home runs this season, 10 of the 12 homers he's given up have been hit by lefties, who have also averaged .278 against him.
He started the season slowly, but Josh Jung ($2,700) has a 1.064 OPS since being called back up early last week. On the season he's hit .251 against his fellow righties, and .262 on the road. Jose Soriano keeps the ball in the park, but he has a 5.37 ERA at home. On top of that, in his career, Soriano's fellow righties have hit .267 against him.
Stack to Consider
Cardinals vs. Marlins (Cal Quantrill): Willson Contreras ($3,100), Brendan Donovan ($3,100), Masyn Winn ($3,000)
Quantrill is on his third team in three years, and he has a 5.07 ERA in that time. Miami's ballpark has helped him avoid homers, but he has a 5.76 ERA and 1.6 HR/9 rate on the road. A 35.7 percent groundball rate is hard to make work, especially when you have 7.19 K/9 rate. Two of these Cardinals are righties, even though Quantrill is right-handed. That's because righties have hit a whopping .349 against him this year.
Though Contreras shows much more power against lefties, he has a .793 OPS versus righties since joining the Cardinals. Plus, he's been hot, as he has a .957 OPS over the last three weeks. Donovan is a lefty, and he's hit .285 and racked up 24 doubles in 100 games. He struggles with his fellow lefties, but the second baseman has an .850 OPS versus righties. While Quantrill has been oddly good against southpaws in 2025, last year lefties hit .268 against him, and the year prior they hit .272. As such, I think Quantrill's success in those matchups this year is a fluke. Playing shortstop, Winn has averaged .270 with seven homers, 23 doubles, and six stolen bases in 97 games. He's been better against righties this year, hitting .282 and slugging .420.
