2025 Fantasy Outlook
Don't let Lindor's friendly smile fool you. He's a bad, bad man. Lindor fell one stolen base shy of a second straight 30-30 season and finished second in the National League in fWAR behind Shohei Ohtani. Some say the best ability is availability, and Lindor has missed a total of 13 games over the past three years. His strikeout rate has hardly budged and the shortstop has emerged as the Mets' leader on the field and in the clubhouse, making his 10-year, $341 million contract look like a bargain as opposed to an overpay. Somehow he wasn't an All-Star last season and hasn't been one since 2019, and some may flippantly slap the "compiler" label on him, but compiling is a good thing in the fantasy game. It's possible and perhaps likely that Lindor is surrounded by a better New York lineup as he enters his age-31 season. Read Past Outlooks

The star shortstop had one long ball through 18 games but has since gone deep four times in his last four appearances. Lindor is slashing .284/.340/.500 with 16 runs scored and nine extra-base hits through 100 plate appearances.

Lindor played in all but two games for the Mets last season and posted an OPS above .800 for the first time since 2019. The 30-year-old set a career high with 31 stolen bases and also clubbed 31 homers, which made him one of four players in MLB to reach the 30-30 club. His .254 average is the second lowest of his career, but he also had career bests in barrel rate (10.4 percent) and hard-hit rate (43.9 percent). Linder's totals of 108 runs and 98 RBI were also the best figures among all shortstops. He also played through an elbow issue all season before undergoing surgery to have bone spurs removed in October, though he should fully healthy in plenty of time for spring training. Lindor remains locked in as the Mets' shortstop for the foreseeable future and should be an excellent fantasy option in 2024 as one of the more productive shortstops in baseball.

Latest Fantasy Rumors

Extends hit streak at Target Field
Lindor's eighth-inning single during Wednesday's loss to the Twins extended his hit streak at Target Field to 20 games, which is the longest such streak by an opponent in ballpark history, per Anthony DiComo of MLB.com.
ANALYSIS
It's been a relatively quiet start to the campaign for Lindor with a .651 OPS through 17 games, but he managed to reach three times Wednesday with a walk and a hit-by-pitch in addition to the single. The slow beginning isn't exactly surprising for the veteran shortstop since he has a .743 OPS during March/April for his career, which is his lowest for any month. Lindor should once again heat up with the weather as he attempts to notch a third consecutive Silver Slugger and top-10 finish in NL MVP voting.
