Franz Wagner over 29.5 points + assists (-125) vs. Brooklyn Nets
Hard Rock, 1:26 PM CT
Alex Barutha: With Paolo Banchero sidelined, I anticipate the Magic leaning on Wagner. Wagner sees a 10.2% usage spike with Banchero off the court and averages 25.5 points and 4.2 assists per 36 minutes. That's close to his points + assists prop, but what really pushes me over the edge is the competition. The 1-10 Nets are allowing the third-most points per 48 minutes (123.8) across the past 10 games, as well as the most assists (30.8).
Karl-Anthony Towns over 40.5 points + rebounds + assists (-120) vs. Miami Heat
FanDuel, 1:30 PM CT
Alex Barutha: Jalen Brunson is out for tonight's game, and Towns sees a 7.1% usage bump without the starting point guard on the hardwood. That results in per-36-minute averages of 26.2 points, 15.6 rebounds and 4.4 assists for KAT. Miami's defense has been good this season, but they play at such a fast pace that opponents still rack up numbers. Miami is allowing the 9th-most points (119.7), 2nd-most rebounds (50.5) and 10th-most assists (27.2) per 48 minutes across the past 10 games.
Portland Trail Blazers at Houston Rockets under 236.5 (-110)
FanDuel Sportsbook - 2:10 PM CT
Kirien Sprecher: The Rockets have boasted an elite defense to start the season, and while the Trail Blazers' defensive stats aren't as dominant, they do feature a number of stout individual defenders. Both teams have scored a ton of points early on, but their offenses are fueled by turnovers. I think there'll be a concerted effort to take care of the ball from both sides, which will slow the pace down and create a ton of 1-on-1 ball. As long as Portland is able to defensive rebound, this one should stay competitive and cruise under 230 points.
