2025 Fantasy Outlook
Coleman's true freshman campaign in 2024 started out slowly, amassing just 10 catches for 259 yards and two touchdowns through the first seven games of the season (he saw the field in six of those). However, the highly-touted prospect had his coming out party in Week 12 against Louisiana-Monroe in Week 12, totaling eight catches for 100 yards and three touchdowns, and followed that up with another seven catches for 12 yards and two scores against Texas A&M in Week 13 and another seven grabs for 78 yards and a score in the Iron Bowl versus Alabama to close out the season, emerging as a star. Payton Thorne played reasonably well under center last season, but he wasn't regarded as a particularly strong passer. Well, he's gone, and in comes Jackson Arnold, who was seemingly on his way for a good season in 2024 before things went south for him and the Sooners. Time will tell if it's indeed an upgrade in the passing game, but it could be. Coleman should remain the go-to target in the offense, especially with KeAndre Lambert-Smith and Rivaldo Fairweather, the two other top targets in the passing attack last season, gone. The Tigers did add Eric Singleton from Georgia Tech via the transfer portal, but Coleman has the makings of a budding star who should cross double-digit touchdowns in 2025 and could rank among the best wideouts. Read Past Outlooks
Bottled up in Iron Bowl loss
Coleman tallied five receptions (on 10 targets) for 43 yards during Saturday's 27-20 loss versus Alabama.
ANALYSIS
Coleman was the team's leading target getter against the Crimson Tide but was bottled up for just 43 yards on the day. With the season coming to a close, Coleman finishes the season as the teams leading receiver with 57 catches for 725 yards and five touchdowns. Coleman will likely be back next year but after dismal offensive season from the Tigers and major shakeups coming to the coaching staff, Coleman may look to see what options are out there in the transfer portal.
