Fantasy Football Rankings Week 15: Weekly Value Meter

Good luck in the fantasy playoffs!

Welcome to the Weekly Value Meter Rankings. This is a guide to help you decide who to start and sit in a given week. It's is not a season-long ranking nor a draft guide, and it's also not really intended as a free agent guide. While I appreciate that you want my opinion on pickups, every league is different, and your decision on whether to add/drop a particular player might also be dictated by other factors than who is rated higher in a given week.

Here are my operating assumptions for the rankings:

- The RB/WR/TE position rankings are for PPR leagues.
- The Flex rankings are for Standard leagues.
- 1 point per 10 rushing/receiving yards.
- 1 point per 20 passing yards.
- 4 points per passing touchdowns.

These are the fantasy football rankings I use when I make my start/sit decisions. Please consult the rankings first before asking "Should I start Patrick Mahomes or Bryce Young?"

These are my particular rankings. If you want a second opinion elsewhere on the site, you can see our Weekly Projections.

Each week after Week 1, the first set of rankings will be posted late on Tuesday night. I will then do a set of updates before kickoff on Thursday, and again before kickoff on Sunday morning.

When setting your lineups, make sure to refer to the NFL inactives to ensure all of your players are set to receive snaps.

I welcome debate on

Quarterbacks

1.Josh Allen BUF at NE
2.*Lamar Jackson BAL at CIN
Note: I'm encouraged by the 43 rushing yards and touchdown, but he and the Ravens are still a little bit off. I get the feeling that the Ravens' offense will finally turn the corner this week in the rematch against the Bengals.
3.Matthew Stafford LA vs. DET
4.Joe Burrow CIN vs. BAL
5.Dak Prescott DAL vs. MIN
6.Drake Maye NE vs. BUF
7.*Jalen Hurts PHI vs. LV
Note: Hurts had a disastrous Monday night game, turning the ball over five times, including twice on one play.
8.Jaxson Dart NYG vs. WAS
9.Trevor Lawrence JAC vs. NYJ
10.Jared Goff DET at LAR
11.*C.J. Stroud HOU vs. ARI
Note: Stroud's stat line against the Chiefs was pretty pedestrian, but he came up with three huge third-and-long completions that helped the Texans pull of the road win.
12.Brock Purdy SF vs. TEN
13.Sam Darnold SEA vs. IND
14.*Baker Mayfield TB vs. ATL
Note: Mayfield really struggled in the rainy conditions against the Saints, and he was hurt by an Emeka Egbuka drop in the end zone that would have swung the game.
15.*Patrick Mahomes KC vs. LAC
Note: Mahomes suffered perhaps his worst game ever against the Texans, throwing for 160 yards and three interceptions on 33 attempts. He had some help pluming such depths, with bad drops from Rashee Rice and Travis Kelce coming at critical moments.
16.Bryce Young CAR at NO
17.Jordan Love GB at DEN
18.*Justin Herbert LAC at KC
Note: Herbert was under constant pressure in the win over the Eagles, but his 66 rushing yards were critical to the effort.
19.Bo Nix DEN vs. GB
20.Aaron Rodgers PIT vs. MIA
21.*Caleb Williams CHI vs. CLE
Note: While Williams's development has been real, there are still steps left, as demonstrated by his start against the Packers and the game-sealing interception.
22.J.J. McCarthy MIN at DAL
23.*Jacoby Brissett ARZ at HOU
Note: It's been a fun ride for us in fantasy if not for the Cardinals, but it could all come crashing down this week. But hold onto him! He gets Atlanta and Cincinnati the next two weeks.
24.Tyler Shough NO vs. CAR
25.*Shedeur Sanders CLE at CHI
Note: Sanders has been named the starter for the remainder of the season.
26.Marcus Mariota WAS at NYG
27.Tua Tagovailoa MIA at PIT
28.Cam Ward TEN at SF
29.*Kirk Cousins ATL at TB
Note: Cousins looks washed, but he's also not played more than a quarter with Drake London in his stints this season.
30.*Geno Smith LV at PHI
Note: Smith left last week's loss to the Broncos with a left shoulder injury. Kenny Pickett replaced him for the rest of the game.
31.*Tyrod Taylor NYJ at JAX
Note: The Jets' QB situation is legitimately TBD, with Taylor dealing with a groin injury and Justin Fields sitting out last week with a knee injury. Brady Cook stepped in last week and would be the pivot if both can't go.
32.*Riley Leonard IND at SEA
Note: Leonard suffered a Grade 1 PCL sprain in the loss to the Jaguars. His status is in question for this week against Seattle. Either Brett Rypien or Philip Rivers is next in line.
33.*Jayden Daniels WAS at NYG
Note: Daniels left Sunday's loss to the Vikings after aggravating his sore left elbow while getting blocked on an interception return. Coach Dan Quinn said that there were no 'long-term concerns' due to this. We'll see what that means for this week's game against the Giants.
34.*Brady Cook NYJ at JAX
Note: Cook came on in emergency relief of Tyrod Taylor (groin), with Justin Fields inactive with a knee injury. The starting job this week is legitimately TBD, and not just some jenky Aaron Glenn plan.
35.*Kenny Pickett LV at PHI
Note: Pickett stepped in for the injured Geno Smith (left shoulder) last week and might get the start this week against the Eagles. Revenge Game!
36.*Philip Rivers IND at SEA
Note: Rivers signed with the Colts to their practice squad. Riley Leonard is likely first in line to start, but we still have to see if his PCL injury will allow him to play. Brett Rypien is also in the mix.
37.Justin Fields NYJ at JAX
38.Brett Rypien IND at SEA
39.*Daniel Jones IND at SEA
Note: Jones suffered a ruptured Achilles tendon in the loss to the Jaguars and has been placed on IR. His availability for the start of next season is in doubt.

Running Backs

1.Christian McCaffrey SF vs. TEN
2.Jahmyr Gibbs DET at LAR
3.Bijan Robinson ATL at TB
4.*De'Von Achane MIA at PIT
Note: Achane left last week's win over the Jets with a rib injury. While he needs treatment and could miss some practice this week, it's not considered a serious injury. The Dolphins play on Monday night.
5.*James Cook BUF at NE
Note: A fumble at the goal line really limited Cook's day against the Bengals.
6.Derrick Henry BAL at CIN
7.Saquon Barkley PHI vs. LV
8.Josh Jacobs GB at DEN
9.Bucky Irving TB vs. ATL
10.Jonathan Taylor IND at SEA
11.Chase Brown CIN vs. BAL
12.Jaylen Warren PIT vs. MIA
13.Travis Etienne JAC vs. NYJ
14.Javonte Williams DAL vs. MIN
15.*Quinshon Judkins CLE at CHI
Note: Judkins didn't have much of a chance running the ball, constantly getting hit behind the line, but a long reception at least salvaged a decent day. This week is a good matchup against the Bears.
16.TreVeyon Henderson NE vs. BUF
17.Breece Hall NYJ at JAX
18.D'Andre Swift CHI vs. CLE
19.*Kyren Williams LA vs. DET
Note: In a vacuum, Williams had a good game (13-84-1, with two receptions), but opposed to Blake Corum running wild it seems disappointing.
20.Rico Dowdle CAR at NO
21.Chris Rodriguez WAS at NYG
22.Kyle Monangai CHI vs. CLE
23.Woody Marks HOU vs. ARI
24.*Omarion Hampton LAC at KC
Note: Hampton played fewer snaps than Kimani Vidal, but still netted 15 touches in his first game back on Monday night.
25.Devin Singletary NYG vs. WAS
26.Zach Charbonnet SEA vs. IND
27.Kenneth Walker SEA vs. IND
28.*RJ Harvey DEN vs. GB
Note: Harvey is starting to get a workload commensurate with a feature back (17 carries and six catches last week), but we'll see how it works with the upgrade in class against the Packers.
29.*Aaron Jones MIN at DAL
Note: Jones overcame his shoulder injury to lead the Vikings in rushing yards against the Commanders, though Jordan Mason got the lone rushing touchdown.
30.Chuba Hubbard CAR at NO
31.Devin Neal NO vs. CAR
32.Tony Pollard TEN at SF
33.Ashton Jeanty LV at PHI
34.David Montgomery DET at LAR
35.Jordan Mason MIN at DAL
36.Blake Corum LA vs. DET
37.Rhamondre Stevenson NE vs. BUF
38.Kareem Hunt KC vs. LAC
39.Bam Knight ARZ at HOU
40.Kenneth Gainwell PIT vs. MIA
41.*Kimani Vidal LAC at KC
Note: Vidal took more snaps than Hampton, but they split the touches evenly in Hampton's first game back.
42.Rachaad White TB vs. ATL
43.*Bhayshul Tuten JAC vs. NYJ
Note: Tuten fumbled twice in the rain against the Colts, losing one of the fumbles.
44.*Jaylen Wright MIA at PIT
Note: It's rare that I advise anyone to spend up in FAAB with the hopes that they not use the player, but this is that rare case. If you have Achane, you have to make sure to go get Wright so that you have a pivot for Monday Night Football, but you're really hoping not to use Wright. But it's playoff time, the rules are different - make sure you get your handcuff for the elite player.
45.Tyler Allgeier ATL at TB
46.Isiah Pacheco KC vs. LAC
47.Emanuel Wilson GB at DEN
48.Michael Carter ARZ at HOU
49.Jeremy McNichols WAS at NYG
50.Ollie Gordon MIA at PIT
51.*Keaton Mitchell BAL at CIN
Note: Mitchell suffered a knee injury against the Steelers, but the MRI came back clean, and the injury is considered to be a minor one.
52.Samaje Perine CIN vs. BAL
53.Tyjae Spears TEN at SF
54.Brian Robinson SF vs. TEN
55.Sean Tucker TB vs. ATL
56.Jaleel McLaughlin DEN vs. GB
57.Ty Johnson BUF at NE
58.Jacory Croskey-Merritt WAS at NYG
59.Raheem Mostert LV at PHI
60.Ray Davis BUF at NE
61.*Nick Chubb HOU vs. ARI
Note: Chubb left Sunday night's game with a rib injury in the second quarter.
62.Tyrone Tracy NYG vs. WAS
63.Alvin Kamara NO vs. CAR
64.Dylan Sampson CLE at CHI
65.Emari Demercado ARZ at HOU
66.MarShawn Lloyd GB at DEN
67.*Trey Benson ARZ at HOU
Note: We're still waiting to see if Arizona will activate Benson (knee) from the IR, but we won't have to wait much longer - Wednesday is the last day in his 21-day window.
68.*Jerome Ford CLE at CHI
Note: Ford was placed on IR by the Browns with a shoulder injury.

Wide Receivers

1.Jaxon Smith-Njigba SEA vs. IND
2.Puka Nacua LA vs. DET
3.Ja'Marr Chase CIN vs. BAL
4.Nico Collins HOU vs. ARI
5.*CeeDee Lamb DAL vs. MIN
Note: Lamb is 'progressing nicely' from the concussion he suffered on Thursday night against the Lions.
6.Davante Adams LA vs. DET
7.*A.J. Brown PHI vs. LV
Note: Though Brown went over 100 yards for the third game in a row, it could have been so much better - he dropped a deep ball on the first offensive play of the game, and couldn't come up with a contested ball in the end zone in the fourth quarter.
8.Jaylen Waddle MIA at PIT
9.Rashee Rice KC vs. LAC
10.Amon-Ra St. Brown DET at LAR
11.George Pickens DAL vs. MIN
12.Christian Watson GB at DEN
13.Tetairoa McMillan CAR at NO
14.Jameson Williams DET at LAR
15.Terry McLaurin WAS at NYG
16.Jakobi Meyers JAC vs. NYJ

18.Jauan Jennings SF vs. TEN
19.Zay Flowers BAL at CIN
20.Courtland Sutton DEN vs. GB
21.Stefon Diggs NE vs. BUF
22.*Michael Wilson ARZ at HOU
Note: It's been a great ride for Wilson and those who have started him, but he has a nasty matchup against the Texans this week.
23.*Justin Jefferson MIN at DAL
Note: Jefferson's output didn't increase even with a decent game from J.J. McCarthy, as his first target didn't come until late in the second quarter.
24.Ladd McConkey LAC at KC
25.DeVonta Smith PHI vs. LV
26.*Chris Godwin TB vs. ATL
Note: Godwin (fibula) was limited Monday but fully practiced Tuesday.
27.*DK Metcalf PIT vs. MIA
Note: Metcalf was briefly hospitalized Sunday night with a stomach injury, but it was deemed minor and he flew back home Monday, and is on track to play Monday night against Miami.
28.Jayden Higgins HOU vs. ARI
29.*Emeka Egbuka TB vs. ATL
Note: Egbuka failed to come up with a pass in the end zone late in the loss to the Saints. Despite his recent struggles, I'm hard-pressed to remove him from my lineup for Thursday's game against the Falcons.
30.Khalil Shakir BUF at NE
31.Brian Thomas JAC vs. NYJ
32.*Alec Pierce IND at SEA
Note: Pierce was checked for an undisclosed injury towards the end of Sunday's loss to the Jaguars, but was not in the concussion protocol as initially reported.
