2025 Fantasy Outlook
The Titans' secondary has gone through some tumult in recent seasons, but Hooker has been one steady influence in the back end of the unit. Injuries are the downside of his profile, as he's played in no more than 14 games in any of the last four seasons. Nevertheless, Hooker has shown the consistent ability to influence the game both in coverage and in rush defense. He'll pair with Xavier Woods in 2025, and the duo should bring some stability to unit that sorely needs it. Read Past Outlooks

Hooker (ankle) is inactive for Sunday's game against the Jaguars.
ANALYSIS
Hooker was held out of all three practices during Week 18 prep due to an ankle injury and will not be available for Sunday's regular-season finale. Jerrick Reed will join Kendell Brooks as the Titans' starting safeties in Hooker's absence. Hooker will end the 2025 regular season with 81 tackles (58 solo), including 1.0 sacks, and eight pass defenses across 16 regular-season games.

2022
Hooker stepped into a full-time starting role at safety for the first time in his career in 2023. He didn't perform particularly well in the expanded role, allowing 81.8 percent of attempted passes to be completed for an average of 11.9 yards per catch. Despite that, the Titans did little to bolster their depth at safety this offseason, meaning Hooker should face little to no competition for a starting role again in 2024. With a full snap count he should rack up plenty of tackles, but there's been little sign of additional play-making ability to this point in his career.
Hooker became a significant part of the Titans' future plans when he signed a three-year, $33 million extension with the team just before the 2022 season kicked off. The campaign itself didn't go as planned, as he battled both shoulder and knee injuries, limiting him to nine games. However, Hooker healed in time to take the field for Week 18 and should have a relatively normal offseason as a result. Assuming Hooker stays healthy, he's a good bet to play over 1,000 defensive snaps and pick off multiple passes as a key member of Tennessee's secondary in 2023.
After serving in a large role on special teams the first two seasons of his career, Hooker stepped into a starting safety role in 2021. Given that, it's no surprise that he posted a career-best 62 tackles. His interception and pass defended numbers took a step backward, but that was not indicative of his level of play as he was graded extremely well by Pro Football Focus and played his role well within the Titans' defense. Heading into 2022, Hooker will pair with Kevin Byard on the back end of the team's secondary and will be asked to guide an otherwise inexperienced secondary.

Latest Fantasy Rumors
May be cut this offseason
STennessee Titans
February 19, 2025
Matt Okada of NFL.com suggests that Hooker could be a cut candidate this offseason.
ANALYSIS
The veteran safety has started 27 games over the past two seasons with the Titans and has been a secondary mainstay since being selected in the fourth round of the 2019 NFL Draft. Hooker recorded a career-high five interceptions, nine total pass breakups and two forced fumbles during the 2024 season, but Okada notes he also finished with a 65.1 overall defensive rating, per Pro Football Focus, which was the second-lowest of his career. A pre-June 1 release would also save the Titans a total of $8.8 million, which could tip the scales in that direction considering Hooker carries the eighth-highest cap hit at his position.
